As a member of the growing

Blue Dot Legal Team you will:

  • Provide general counseling and management on a full spectrum of legal issues, which may include intellectual property, data protection, human resources, employment matters, international regulatory compliance, and conflict of interest matters.

​​

  • Work with Blue Dot’s multi-disciplinary strategic development consulting team to assist clients in developing comprehensive legal strategies and resolve complex legal issues.

​​

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide array of complex commercial agreements, including but not limited to, global master services agreements, other client and vendor agreements, licensing agreements, subcontractor and partnership agreements, nondisclosure agreements, technology transactional matters, and variable pricing agreements.

​​

  • Fine-tune and champion Blue Dot’s contracting and risk management standards.

​​

  • Assist with targeted operational risk reviews, which are focused on global or regional processes.

​​

  • Act as a risk liaison in relation to global functions, providing support and education on important risk issues.

​​

  • Ensure compliance with privacy laws including General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) and data security.

​​

  • Partner with Blue Dot’s Advanced Analytics Team to support businesses in tackling legal issues focusing on licensing and intellectual property topics, digital and technology, data protection, competition law, trade regulations, conflicts of interests, and other non-commercial matters. 

​​

  • Collaborate with Blue Dot Constellations Strategic Partners to deploy initiatives for the harmonization of legal practices and standards.

Providing client and client development support will involve:

  • Redlining and custom-drafting legal documents.

​​

  • Anticipating risks and potential legal issues, suggesting solutions and alternatives.

​​

  • Contributing to the consolidation and dissemination of a comprehensive legal philosophy.

​​

  • Performing detailed testing and process walk-throughs, drafting action plans, and following-up on implementation efforts.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Graduate degree in Law from an accredited law school, and is licensed to practice law.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in corporate law, commercial contracting, M&A, venture capital, and insolvency law.

​​

  • Experience in IP law, data protection, and privacy policy.

​​

  • Experience in litigation, arbitration, and dispute resolution.

​​

  • Experience with international exposure including, EU, U.S., competition, and anti-trust law.

​​

  • Experience in a reputable law firm.

​​

  • Experience in compliance or other risk management disciplines such as audit, fraud examination, quality control, or risk analysis.

​​

  • Experience in an international working environment.

Additional Requirements

  • Travel is required.

​

  • Fluency in English is required.
